“America, What My Country Means to Me”
So, today I will talk to you about what my country, “the United States of America, and what it means to me. So, this is what my country means to me: When I think of my country, The United States of America, the Land of opportunity, the “Home” for many, a lot of things come to mind; but the most important thing that comes to mind is Freedom. The second and most important for me is ‘history’. I will talk to you first about home. So, let’s get started.
The word Freedom. What comes to mind when I think of Freedom> Well…for me it means to have the right to do anything that is reasonable, without breaking the law. My country is like that or somewhat like this. People always say, “It’s a free country”. This statement is true and this is my point about freedom, everyone here in my country is free.
Now, the word ‘history’ is what I am going to talk about next. I think that history is amazing. Here are some examples: (1) the story of people saving lives and our country. (2) People who fight for our peace and loyalty, (3) There os history all around you and me. I like history because it is filled with really, really super cool things like facts and details. History is about you and each of us makes history.
Now, remember when I said home for many, I mean it’s literally home for many. Did you know that in 2015, the United States of America had a population of more than 321.4 million people? Wow! That is a lot of people. Now. you know what I meant when I said home to many people.
Having this many people might be one reason why the America has so many businesses, industries and lots more. America, my country means many people work and have work to do.
So, in conclusion, I talked about freedom, home and my country. The United States of America has a lot of very cool and interesting things to see, do and enjoy. But, what I told you is what I think about this country; there are many different perspectives on the subject. My country is the most amazing place that anyone could imagine. Again, I talked to you about freedom and how it is important to me, I talked about history and how the importance it is to me. Did you know that, “united we Stand, and divided we fall”, this is a quote from our first President of the United States; everyone knows his name, its George Washington.
Last, but not least I talked about home. The United States is home to many, including me.
All of these, freedom, home unity is what my country means to me Again, thank you.
